Public 10-, 60-, and 300-item Big Five measures
Psykologia 43:328&endash;341. Vammala ISSN 0355-1067.
We evaluated the factor structure, reliability, and criterion validity of three public Finnish language Big Five measures that we have developed. The 10-item Kop, the 60-item Short Five, and the 300-item IpipNEO-PI-R were administered to samples of 57, 675, and 560 participants, respectively. The NEO-PI-R and NEO-FFI were administered to evaluate the criterion validity of the public measures. The factor structure, internal consistency reliability, and criterion validity of the S5 were all very good. At the facet level, the average correlation between the S5 and the NEO-PI-R was .74, and at the factor level it was .87. We recommend the use of the S5 in personality assessment.
